Crabtree:

Dear
In your fascinating paper on 2012 Elsevier Ltd All rights reserved. Trends in Genetics, Volume 29, Issue 1, 1-3, 13 November 2012, Title “Our fragile intellect (in two parts)”, one reads:
“New developments in genetics, anthropology, and neurobiology predict that a very large number of genes underlie our intellectual and emotional abilities, making these abilities genetically surprisingly fragile.I would wager that if an average citizen from Athens of 1000 BC were to appear suddenly among us, he or she would be among the brightest and most intellectually alive of our colleagues and companions, with a good memory, a broad range of ideas, and a clear-sighted view of important issues. Furthermore, I would guess that he or she would be among the most emotionally stable of our friends and colleagues.
In my opinion, such a Incipit sounds excessively hypothetic. I mean that verbs like to wager and to guess aren’t adequate and appropriate for these distressing circumstances.
I dare to say, that all you have discovered, from the genetical view-point, is really well documented and proved ever since – without doubt – from the biological point of view, according to my definitions: Middle Ages of Medicine as well as Era of cloused Light :
Stagnaro Sergio. Middle Ages of today’s Medicine, Overlooking Quantum-Biophysical-Semeiotic Constitutions and Related Inherited Real Risk. http://sciphu.com November 4, 2008. http://sciphu.com/2008/11/meadle-ages-of-todays-medicine.html
Firstly, every genetic alteration parallels biological function impairment, we can now bedside recognise i.e., by a stethoscope, with the aid of Quantum Biophysical Semeiotics www.sisbq.org and www.semeioticabiofisica,it :
Stagnaro Sergio. Biological System Functional Modification parallels Gene Mutation. www.Nature.com, March 13, 2008,http://blogs.nature.com/nm/spoonful/2008/03/gout_gene.html
Secondly, although mainly overlooked by information givers and physicians, Brain Disorder Inherited Real Risk is largely widespread, namely, in highest percentage of today’s individuals:
Stagnaro Sergio. Inherited Real Risk of Brain Disorders. www.plos.org, 24 July 2009. http://www.plosone.org/article/comments/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0006354;jsessionid=9AC82C42FA9F57C913844806BF96DDC1
Thirdly, despite CAD, type 2 DM, and Cancer are today’s growing Epidemics, and the leading cause of death worlwide, the majority of peer-review Editors, Reviewers, and University Professors around th world IGNORE CAD, type 2 DM, and Cancer Inherited Real Risks, dependent of related QBS Constitutions, bedside diagnosed in a minute and eliminated with the Quantum Therapy (see later on!).
From the above remarks everybody must agree with my old statement that we are living in the Midle Ages of Medicine, Maid of Economics, and in the ERA of cloused Light?
I admit that my English is poor, but you all are so intelligent to be able to translate my thoughts in perfect, refined English. If YOU know Italian, be sure that I can write it surely better.
Sincerely speaking, your above-cited paper, although fascinating and written in elagant form, was not necessary, in my opinion, discovering the “warm water”:
“…to conclude that we, as a species, are surprisingly intellectually fragile and perhaps reached a peak 2000–6000 yearsago. But if we are losing our intellectual abilities, how did we acquire them in the first place?
Finally, allow me to suggest you to read the following two next articles:
